About Us
About Dak
Dak Prescottâs late mother, Peggy, instilled in him the moral compass that continues to guide him today. He lives his life by the three words of encouragement she often spoke:
Faith. Fight. Finish.
Because of the loss he has experienced, Dakâs empathy and ability to connect deeply and genuinely with people is at the core of his charitable work. He has embraced the responsibility of giving back well beyond whatâs expected or required of him, and is on a mission to share his motherâs unwavering strength and courage with the world. Dakâs mom taught him to always put Mind Over Matter and do the best you can with the cards youâre dealt, and itâs a lesson he intends to keep paying forward through Faith Fight Finish.

When duty calls, the Cowboys answer!
The Dallas Cowboys are a driving force in their local community and the team can often be found lending a helping hand to those in need. Whether theyâre serving meals or making house calls with gifts and groceries, one thing theyâre always sure to deliver is smiles!
The Cowboys brought joy to those in need this holiday season by delivering gifts to local hospitals around the Dallas Fort Worth area.
Dak and his teammates played Santa to deliver holiday surprises from Albertsons to local residents.
The Cowboys joined forces with the Salvation Army to serve Thanksgiving meals to the community. In the 21 years the franchise has been affiliated with the Salvation Army, theyâve helped raised more than $2.4 billion.
The Cowboys once again teamed with the Salvation Army in order to assist those in need from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey.

Dak had the chance to make a young fanâs
Dream come true when he and the rest of the Dallas Cowboys spent a day with 9-year-old Raymond Melgarejo, who had a tumor in his head removed and has been receiving chemotherapy for the past year. Melgarejo shared his fighting spirit with Dak and the rest of the team during a fun day that included a news conference, practice with the team, one-on-one training time with Dak and even a helicopter with the Cowboysâ owner, Jerry Jones! It was the experience of a lifetime for the young Cowboys fan determined to heal and return to the football field in high school!

When it comes to cancer, offense is the best defense!
The NFL, its clubs, players, the NFL Players Association, and the American Cancer Society are committed to the fight against cancer. Crucial Catch expands the impact of the NFL’s work around breast cancer to address multiple types of cancer through early detection and risk reduction. Money raised will be directed towards grants providing education, outreach and low-cost screenings for detectable cancers in underserved areas near NFL cities â the kind of screenings that may have helped Dakâs mom catch the colon cancer earlier, which may have led to a better prognosis.

Go big or go home!
Over the summer, Dak hosted not one, not two, but three youth ProCamps that saw over 3,000 young fans in attendance! âItâs necessary that I do these camps and give back, interact with these kids – try to give them life lessons as well as football lessons and get better in their community and in every way they can,â Dak shared. Dakâs very first ProCamp was the LARGEST EVER, with 1,400 kids showing up on his old practice field at Mississippi State University. âWhen we started picking places for camps,â says Dak, âIt was a no brainer to come back home and itâs been a great turnout.â The second pro camp of the summer saw Dak return to his high school alma mater, Houghton High, to greet 700 campers in the place where it all began. âToday shows the love I have for this town and they have for me,â Dak said of the trip to his hometown. âThis gives me the opportunity to showcase what Iâm trying to do — give back to the kids and change their lives.â Dakâs final stop was at Lake Dallas High School in Corinth, Texas.

It takes a community to fight cancer!
Dak joined forces with âModern Familyâ actor Eric Stonestreet and Tia Mowry as the faces of the Ready Raise Rise campaign â and raised a flag for his mom! Ready Raise Rise is spreading the word about Immuno-Oncology (research into using the bodyâs own immune system to better target cancer) and bringing together everyone impacted by the disease to support the cancer community!
